Alejandra Guzmán [Discografía]

Alejandra Gabriela Guzmán Pinal (Ciudad de México, México, 9 de febrero de 1968) es una cantante y compositora mexicana de rock en español y pop latino, con más de 20 años de trayectoria. Además bailarina de ballet, claqué y jazz, pintora y actriz, reconocida por participar en diversas telenovelas, series y programas de televisión. Perteneciente a una legendaria dinastía artística. Hija del cantante de rock and roll y actor mexicano Enrique Guzmán y de la primera actriz mexicana Silvia Pinal. Su voz, carisma y composiciones han conquistado a Latinoamérica, Estados Unidos y Europa. Reconocida como la intérprete más importante y atrevida de México. Ha vendido más de 20 millones de copias de sus discos en todo el mundo.

ABBA [Ring-ring y Waterloo]

En el estudio Metronome de Estocolmo el 29 de marzo de 1972, el grupo grabó su "primera" canción titulada "People need love”. También por esos días, el grupo grabó los temas "Merry-go-round" y "Santa Rosa", lados B de sus primeros dos sencillos.

El 26 de Septiembre de 1972 se llevó a cabo la primera sesión de grabación oficial para el grupo. Comenzaron grabando una pista instrumental, llamada provisionalmente "Contemplation", que nunca fue usada. El grupo también trabajo sobre otras viejas canciones que originalmente no fueron escritas para el grupo. "Rock'n roll band", que había sido utilizada como lado B de "Love has its ways", recibió un arreglo para poder ser interpretada por el grupo.

La grabación de su álbum continuaría el 17 de Octubre de 1972, cuando el grupo grabó los temas "Nina, pretty ballerina", "Another town, another train" y "He is your brother"; este último fue elegido como el segundo sencillo del grupo en noviembre de 1972.

En enero, Björn, Benny y Stig Anderson comenzaron a escribir una canción para el Melodifestivalen 1973: "Ring ring". También en enero, por única vez Benny compone la letra de una canción de ABBA: "Me and Bobby and Bobby's brother". Durante esta época, Björn y Benny habían escrito canciones para usarse en la cinta "Ture sventon". Una de las canciones de este proyecto, "Jag är blott en man" fue traducida al inglés y con varios retoques vocales fue incluida en el álbum del grupo como "I am just a girl".

La grabación del álbum comenzó el 24 de Septiembre de 1973, siendo "Dance " la primera canción en ser grabada.

El 16 y 17 de Octubre del mismo año se lleva a cabo la primera sesión de grabación del grupo bajo el nombre de ABBA, completando cuatro canciones: "Suzy-hang around", "What about livingstone?", "My mama said" y "Honey, honey". Esta última sería elegida como tercer sencillo del álbum.

Las sesiones de grabación se aplazarían un poco, hasta el 14 de Noviembre, cuando ABBA completa la canción "King kong song".

Casi un mes después de esto, el 13 de Diciembre el grupo vuelve al estudio y graban la balada "Gonna sing you my lovesong".

Finalmente, el 17 de Diciembre de 1973, el cuarteto graba la canción más conocida del disco: "Waterloo", primeramente llamada "Honey pie”. "Waterloo" fue selecionada para convertirse en el primer sencillo del álbum, así como la canción para presentarse en el Melodifestivalen el siguiente año. También en ese día, el grupo graba el tema "Watch out" que se convertiría en el lado B de "Waterloo".

Justo un día después, ABBA completa la balada "Who's gonna love you", que gracias a la letra de Stig, se convirtió en "Hasta mañana". Ese mismo 18 de Diciembre ABBA culmina la grabación de su disco con la terminación del tema "Sittin' in the palm tree".

Después del triunfo en Eurovision, ABBA graba versiones en otros idiomas de su éxito "Waterloo", así como los remixes de "Ring-ring", que se convertirán en sencillos en territorios seleccionados.
